Chapter 186: The Effect of the Female CEO's Training! I'm Afraid My Master Will Misunderstand Me If I Cancel the Engagement:

Su Chen's eyes widened in disbelief, and his jaw nearly hit the floor.

He stared blankly at Gu Ningshuang, unable to process the situation.

This stunning fiancée—whom he had decided not to cancel the engagement with after just one look—was flawless in both appearance and figure. She was easily one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Yet, standing in front of her, this man showed no tenderness or care. Instead, he had done something to her that left her trembling in fear.

Su Chen's chest tightened painfully, his heart breaking at the thought of his fiancée being "trained" into submission.

He felt lightheaded, as if the very air had been sucked out of his lungs.

[Ding! Su Chen was very shocked. Emotional points +951.]

[Ding! Su Chen was furious. Emotional points +963.]

Gu Ningshuang, realizing the implications of her words, felt her heart sink. She had addressed Xu Hao the way she usually did when they were alone, but now, with an outsider present, she noticed how inappropriate it sounded.

Her reputation as a cold and aloof CEO—a goddess in the eyes of many—was now shattered. She flushed deeply, feeling both humiliated and cornered.

But there was no turning back.

She needed to explain herself, to prevent Xu Hao from getting angry.

"I told you to take your dirty hands away from her, didn’t you hear me?" Su Chen growled again, his voice trembling with rage. His eyes were bloodshot, his fury evident.

Xu Hao, however, remained unbothered, a slight smile appearing on his lips as he gently stroked Gu Ningshuang’s head, treating her as if she were a cherished pet.

He didn’t respond, but Gu Ningshuang did.

She turned to Su Chen with a frosty glare. Her tone was sharp as she said, "Are you yelling at me again?"

Her expression and voice were filled with icy disdain, as if she were defending Xu Hao from a rude intruder.

Su Chen’s heart broke even more.

She was so docile and careful with Xu Hao, afraid of upsetting him, yet she treated Su Chen with nothing but cold indifference.

“This can’t be real. You’re my fiancée!” He thought.

His mouth twitched painfully, his face a mask of despair.

"Miss Gu, please don’t defend him. I know you’re being threatened," Su Chen said earnestly, trying to reason with her. "Stay away from this man. I’ll deal with him for you. I’ll make him kneel and repent in front of you. Believe me—you don’t need to be afraid. I’m much stronger than you think."

His tone was sincere, but his burning anger toward Xu Hao made his killing intent almost palpable. Su Chen wanted to rip apart the man who had hurt and manipulated his fiancée. Yet, he held himself back, aware of the destructive power of two peak-level martial artists clashing. If he acted impulsively, he could inadvertently harm Gu Ningshuang.

Meanwhile, Gu Ningshuang was fuming inside.

She cursed Su Chen silently, thinking, “You? Teach Xu Hao a lesson? Do you even know who Xu Hao is?”

Xu Hao was a billionaire with countless subordinates under his command. Su Chen, on the other hand, was just a naïve bumpkin who had recently come out of the mountains.

What could he possibly do? And now, he was acting as if they shared a close relationship when they had just met for the first time.

Annoyed and frustrated, Gu Ningshuang stepped aside, distancing herself from him. "We are not familiar with each other," she said coldly. "Please watch what you say, and don’t let my master misunderstand."

The way she addressed Xu Hao as "master" pierced Su Chen’s heart like a dagger. His fiancée was now defending the very man who had taken her away from him.

Xu Hao, who had been silently enjoying the show, finally spoke. He glanced at Gu Ningshuang and said gently, "Alright, don’t waste your energy on someone like him. Let him go. I’ll show you something interesting instead."

Hearing this, Gu Ningshuang felt a pang in her chest.

Her initial thoughts of Xu Hao changing and becoming kinder toward her were crushed. His words reminded her that he still saw her as nothing more than a tool to use as he pleased.

Her thoughts became jumbled, “I’m pregnant now. Will he still treat me this way? Will he finally restrain himself, or will he remain as cold and manipulative as ever?”

Despite the turmoil in her mind, she obediently turned to Su Chen and said firmly, "I won’t agree to the child marriage you mentioned. Please stop coming to me. Stay as far away as possible."

Hearing this, Su Chen’s fists clenched tightly, the veins on his arms bulging. His heart felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces. This was his fiancée—beautiful, obedient, and now rejecting him entirely under Xu Hao’s influence.

His anger wasn’t directed at Gu Ningshuang. It was all because of Xu Hao. The man had trained her, manipulated her, and turned her into this obedient shell of her former self.

Su Chen hated himself for not appearing in her life sooner. If he had been there earlier, this tragedy wouldn’t have happened.

Hearing Xu Hao dismiss him as "rubbish," Su Chen gritted his teeth and growled, "Who are you calling rubbish? Say it again!"

Xu Hao turned to him, smiling faintly. He calmly repeated, "Rubbish."

[Ding! Su Chen was furious. Emotional points +1000.]

Su Chen’s nails dug deep into his palms, blood pooling as his fury consumed him.

Could this humiliation be any worse?

It felt as though someone had stolen his home, embraced his wife, and mocked him for being useless. His rage was uncontrollable, and every fiber of his being screamed for revenge.

Meanwhile, Gu Ningshuang was filled with terror.

Was Xu Hao’s possessiveness not too extreme?

She had already made it clear that she had no connection with Su Chen and had firmly rejected the childhood marriage arrangement. Yet, Xu Hao wouldn’t let it go.

It had to be said, Xu Hao’s ability to disguise his true nature was remarkable. To the outside world, he was gentle, refined, and elegant. Yet, in front of Su Chen, his cold and domineering side was on full display. There was no pretense, no mask—only raw arrogance as he humiliated Su Chen without hesitation. If Xu Hao was this hostile toward Su Chen, someone he barely knew, what might he do to her if she dared displease him?

Gu Ningshuang’s anxiety grew.

To completely sever any association with Su Chen in Xu Hao’s eyes, she gritted her teeth and steeled her resolve.

"Your name is Su Chen, right? Fine. I acknowledge the childhood engagement arranged between us, and now, I officially inform you..."

Su Chen’s heart leaped.

His excitement was palpable as he looked at her with hope.

Was she finally going to accept their marriage? He didn’t care about her past or even that she was pregnant. He could overlook everything because of how beautiful and perfect she was.

But her next words hit him like a thunderbolt.

"...I do not agree to this marriage. I’m breaking off the engagement with you."

Breaking off the engagement?

Su Chen froze, staggered by her declaration. If she had merely rejected the childhood marriage, he could have accepted it with dignity. But breaking it off in this manner? It was an outright humiliation.

He had originally told himself he would break the engagement with the Gu family if the arrangement was unsuitable, but in reality, he never intended to go through with it. It was only an excuse to maintain some semblance of pride. He’d even kept the marriage certificate as a symbol of the elders’ wishes.

Now, however, Gu Ningshuang had acknowledged the engagement, only to immediately cancel it. It was as if she was deliberately trying to humiliate him. Worse yet, she wasn’t doing this because of him—she was doing it to prove herself to Xu Hao.

[Ding! Su Chen was furious. Emotional points +987.]

Gu Ningshuang didn’t want to take things this far. She had always respected her late grandfather’s wishes, and breaking off the engagement felt like a betrayal of his final request. But Su Chen’s persistence left her with no choice. She had to distance herself completely to ensure Xu Hao wouldn’t misunderstand her intentions.

Xu Hao raised an eyebrow in surprise, impressed by her decisiveness. It seemed the "training" had paid off. He gave her an approving look, and Gu Ningshuang felt a wave of relief. At least she had managed to soothe Xu Hao’s temper.

Turning to Su Chen, who looked utterly defeated, she continued coldly, "Now, leave immediately, or I’ll call security to throw you out."

Her words were like daggers.

Su Chen stood motionless, his energy drained. Her anger and the disdainful look she gave him cut deeper than any blade. Slowly, he turned and walked out of the office in silence, his heart shattered.

As he reached the door, he hesitated, glancing back one last time. But the sharp "bang" of the door slamming shut behind him ended any hope he had of turning back.

He then heard the unmistakable "click" of the lock.

Su Chen’s thoughts spiraled into darkness.

Xu Hao had said something about showing his fiancée a "big treasure," and now the office was locked. It wasn’t hard to imagine what was happening inside. His heart clenched painfully, his fists tightening as rage twisted his face.

"No matter who you are, I’ll make you pay for this in blood," Su Chen growled under his breath before storming away.

Inside the office, with only Xu Hao and Gu Ningshuang remaining, she stepped forward, bent her knees, and prepared to kneel before him—a habit ingrained from their previous interactions. But Xu Hao stopped her, a faint smile on his face.

"Ningshuang, what are you doing?" he asked, his tone unusually gentle.

Gu Ningshuang blinked in confusion. "Isn’t this... the proper greeting for you, Master?" she asked hesitantly, blushing as she thought of his earlier hint about showing her a treasure.

Xu Hao chuckled and pulled her toward the sofa, holding her close. "You’re carrying my child now. You should be more careful," he said softly. "As for the treasure, here it is..."

Reaching behind him, Xu Hao retrieved a large bag of pregnancy-preserving medicine from his personal space.

"This is the medicine I prepared for you. Take it regularly—it’ll be good for both you and the baby."

Gu Ningshuang stared at the medicine in a daze.

She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

Xu Hao, who had always been cold and demanding, was now caring for her and showing genuine concern.

What had brought about this sudden change?

Was it because she was carrying his child?

She placed a hand on her belly, feeling a surge of gratitude.

For the first time, she felt relieved that she hadn’t gone through with the abortion.

[Ding! Gu Ningshuang couldn’t help herself. Emotional points +753.]

The two remained in the office for nearly two hours, their interactions unusually intimate. Although Xu Hao didn’t force her, the atmosphere was laced with tension and complexity.

Xu Hao left the office with Gu Ningshuang by his side, her cheeks flushed and her skin tinged with a rosy hue. It was clear to anyone what had just happened behind closed doors.

Su Chen, standing outside and observing the two, felt his heart burn with anger.

His face darkened like the bottom of a pot. He was a master of medicine, and it took him only a glance to understand the situation. His fiancée had just been with another man, and he had been forced to stand outside the door, powerless to intervene.

It was the ultimate humiliation.

Su Chen clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms as he glared at Xu Hao. He had been waiting outside the office, refusing to leave. He was determined to confront Xu Hao and make him pay for what he had done to Gu Ningshuang.

Inside, however, Gu Ningshuang’s mood was vastly different. She walked out of the office with a soft smile on her face, a rare sight. Her fears had somewhat subsided—Xu Hao had shown her a gentler side, something she had never experienced before.

Although what had happened between them in the office was initiated by her, Xu Hao had treated her carefully, with an unusual tenderness that left her feeling satisfied. For once, he didn’t make her feel like a mere tool.

This newfound gentleness gave her a faint hope, though she knew deep down that escaping his control was impossible. Resigned to her fate, she thought that as long as he wasn’t as harsh as before, she could endure.

When she spotted Su Chen still waiting at the door, her smile vanished. Annoyance flickered in her eyes as she snapped, "Why are you still here?"

Su Chen didn’t respond, his rage boiling over as he stared daggers at Xu Hao.

Noticing Su Chen’s angry glare, Gu Ningshuang frowned.

She couldn’t allow Su Chen to ruin the mood. After all, Xu Hao’s recent gentleness had been a rare reprieve for her, and she didn’t want anything—or anyone—to disrupt it.

"Who are you glaring at?" she asked coldly. "Go ahead, try glaring again!"

Su Chen’s face stiffened, his expression frozen in disbelief.

Wasn’t she supposed to be his fiancée? Yet, she was defending Xu Hao so fiercely, treating him like an outsider while pushing Su Chen further away.

Unable to tolerate Su Chen any longer, Gu Ningshuang took out her phone and called the security department.

"How are you people doing your job? How did a beggar manage to get into the company? Come here immediately and remove him. If something like this happens again, none of you will be staying."

The head of security was baffled by her outburst.

Quickly gathering his team, they rushed to the CEO’s office. When they arrived, they saw Su Chen standing there, dressed like a laborer.

"It’s him!" one of the guards exclaimed. "Didn’t we throw this guy out earlier? How did he end up here again?"

The head of security demanded an explanation, and the guard relayed the entire story.

Upon hearing it, the head of security was furious.

He glanced at Gu Ningshuang, relieved to see her composed expression, and immediately ordered, "Get him out of here!"

A group of security guards surrounded Su Chen, ready to drag him away.

Su Chen eyed them with disdain. These were ordinary people, and in front of someone like him, they were no match. But he remembered his master’s warning: Abide by the law when you return to the city. Do not use violence or cause unnecessary trouble.

Reluctantly, Su Chen let the guards escort him out of the building without resistance.

(In the evening)

Su Chen followed Xu Hao and Gu Ningshuang to her house, seething as he watched them interact. Despite his fury, he couldn’t interfere—not without risking harm to Gu Ningshuang.

Gu Ningshuang, on the other hand, seemed to grow more at ease with Xu Hao. Her fear of him was slowly dissipating as he continued to show her kindness.

Whether it was pouring him wine, feeding him, or simply smiling at him, her actions reflected her growing submission.

As Xu Hao and Gu Ningshuang left the house to shop for clothes, Su Chen continued to tail them, his frustration mounting with every passing moment. He felt like an invisible shadow, powerless to stop what was unfolding before his eyes.

Inside the clothing store, Xu Hao picked out several outfits for Gu Ningshuang, each choice met with her approval. Watching this display of affection, Su Chen’s anger surged to its peak.

But the final blow came when Xu Hao gently stroked Gu Ningshuang’s hair, smiling warmly at her. Su Chen’s hands trembled with rage, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

“No matter who you are, Xu Hao, I will make you pay for this humiliation in blood.” Su Chen vowed silently.

For now, though, he could only retreat, his resentment simmering as he plotted his next move.

Xu Hao had trained Gu Ningshuang into submission, and Su Chen couldn’t stand to see the woman he once considered his fiancée so thoroughly devoted to another man.
