442. The Youngest

After lunch and a short rest, we left the hotel.

This time, we decided to only take one camper van. Since we'd be walking around outside anyway and parking would be difficult, we decided to all move together.

Even though it was a large camper van, it felt cramped with seven people. We managed by shoving all the women into the bedroom and having the two men sit on the dining table chairs, but it was still bustling.

"Just bear with it, even if it's uncomfortable."

"This is spacious enough."

The men didn't seem uncomfortable at all, to be honest.

In contrast... the bedroom, where the three kids occupied the entire bed, looked cramped.

"If it's too uncomfortable, send one of them out here."

I said, looking at Shi-a. I figured she'd handle it.

Once everyone was settled, Shi-hyun drove towards our destination: the beach.

Arriving at the beach, I looked outside while we drove around trying to park. The festival preparations were already in full swing, and many stalls were lined up.

People who came to have fun were walking around, playing pranks, or buying food from the stalls.

"They look like they're having fun; I want to go out quickly too."

I heard Jae-won's expectant voice from behind.

"Shi-hyun-ah, it seems your son wants to go out quickly; hurry and park."

I playfully urged, and Shi-hyun laughed.

"Yes, Ma'am."

After replying, Shi-hyun quickly darted his head in whenever he saw a spot and succeeded in parking.

"Look at the person who was coming there, how flustered they are."

I could see the car behind us, which was reversing into the spot, panicking.

"The problem is they tried to force their way in after already passing it."

Indeed... the cars behind us were honking like crazy, telling us to go. As I was telling the kids to get out and preparing, the owner of the car who thought we stole their spot opened their door and approached us.

"Hey! That was the spot I was going for; how can you just go in like that!"

The man, who looked to be in his twenties, approached confidently. Shi-hyun, still inside the car, chuckled and opened the door.

"What?"

As Shi-hyun stood in front of him, the man hesitated and stepped back.

Well, it couldn't be helped... Broad shoulders, muscles that couldn't be hidden even under thick winter clothes, and a height exceeding 190cm including the shoes.

What could an ordinary person do in front of someone with such overwhelming physical presence?

"S-Sneaking...."

The man tried to say something, but closed his mouth as Shi-hyun took a step forward.

"What am I supposed to do when you already passed it?"

The cars that couldn't pass because of the stopped car kept honking from the side.

Then, a woman came out of the car and tried to take the man away.

"Oppa, let's just go...."

"Let go, let go of me."

The man seemed to want to show off in front of the woman and tried to be stubborn.

"How about we just pass by quietly?"

Shi-hyun firmly grabbed the man's shoulder. Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, but since Shi-hyun is an Awakener, it could be an issue.

Well, Shi-hyun must have properly controlled his strength.

"Ugh...."

The man contorted his face and took another step back.

"Hurry up and go; can't you see the cars behind us waiting?"

"Oppa...."

As the woman kept pulling on his clothes, the man reluctantly stepped back. While turning around to head to the car, he muttered curses. It would have been hard for an ordinary person to hear, but I and Shi-hyun clearly heard it.

"Well, let's just let him curse a bit."

I stopped Shi-hyun, just in case he followed after him.

"I have no intention of going."

Once the story was roughly over and the blocked road was cleared, the kids came out of the car.

"Is it resolved?"

"Yes, come out without worrying."

At my words, the kids came out in a rush. Seo-hui, feeling stuffy, immediately ran out as soon as she stood on the ground.

"Let's go quickly!"

It seems she's fascinated by the ocean she's seeing for the first time. When I think about it, there were some pitiful aspects to Seo-hui as well.

Normally, she would have gone to more diverse places and had more experiences, but she couldn't move around freely after Seo-a was born. Still, she had been to the playroom and swimming pool in the apartment, and she had also been to the park, but she had never properly gone on a trip.

"Must be the first time for all the grandchildren?"

"That's right."

Kim Seo-bang, judging that the rampaging Seo-hui was dangerous, immediately held her in his arms. It is dangerous since cars are driving around on the road....

"Okay, let's go."

They each talked as they moved. Shi-a and Su-bin explained the surroundings to Ju-hui, and Saet-byeol was teasing Jae-won while taking care of Seo-a.

Kim Seo-bang was teaching Seo-hui many things.

"It's nice to see."

I, who was following from behind, suddenly had that thought. I thought they were kids, but I thought they had grown up so much, and I thought they had grown up well.

"It would be perfect if they just became independent."

It seems Shi-hyun wants Saet-byeol to become independent quickly. It's not that I don't understand... but his obsession was scary.

"At least we have to watch them until Seo-a goes to kindergarten."

"I wonder... can you endure it?"

"What about me?"

Shi-hyun suddenly brought me into the conversation.

"I think you're the type to think that even when the grandchildren go to kindergarten, you still have to help out?"

Ugh... honestly, Shi-hyun might be right? Even if Seo-hui and Seo-a grow up and go to school or kindergarten, shouldn't there be someone to pick them up at dismissal time? I heard before that Saet-byeol is aiming to become a lawyer, so she has to do something called law school for three more years even after graduating from university....

Wouldn't it be difficult to look after the kids during that time? You have to study a lot to become a lawyer, right?

Before I knew it, I was thinking that.

And what Shi-hyun said came to mind.

It stung too much.

"W-Well, maybe so."

Denying it wouldn't make anyone believe me, and I couldn't answer that I wouldn't intervene even if Saet-byeol became independent.

"Anyway, that Saet-byeol is too blessed, you know?"

I could only give a bitter smile at Shi-hyun's words. Certainly, compared to Shi-a or Jae-won, Saet-byeol had that aspect.

"Mom, are you going to eat skewers?"

Saet-byeol, who was walking ahead, stopped after seeing the chicken skewers sold at a food truck.

"Yes, order one for me."

"Okay."

Jae-won was eating a chicken skewer by himself, and Shi-a was thinly tearing off the chicken skewer meat and feeding it to Ju-hui.

Seo-hui, who had come down to the ground at some point, was drooling, touching her lips with her fingers. The smell of the skewers cooking was indeed good.

"Seo-hui, do you want to eat too?"

"Yes."

"Shall I give you Uncle's?"

"Will you give it to me?"

"Then I have to give it to you since it's Seo-hui."

Jae-won bent his knees to match Seo-hui's eye level and made the skewer easy to eat before handing it to Seo-hui.

"Okay, you have to bite it with your mouth, like 'aah'."

"Aah?"

When Seo-hui opened her mouth wide, Jae-won put a little meat in her mouth, and when Seo-hui naturally closed her mouth, she started chewing the meat.

Seo-hui took out the meat from the skewer and started chewing, omuol omuol.

Judging by how her expression changed happily every time she chewed, it must be delicious.

The sweet teriyaki sauce is good, indeed.

"She eats well."

"Mashisseo!"

Seo-hui tugged on Jae-won's pants, demanding more.

"Seo-hui-ya, ask your dad here."

Saet-byeol, seeing that, quickly tried to pass it on to Kim Seo-bang.

"Okay, Seo-hui-ya, shall we eat with Dad?"

"Dad!"

As if she had ever done that, Seo-hui turned her body around and ignored Jae-won, and started eating Kim Seo-bang's skewer.

Jae-won smiled in a way that resembled Shi-hyun and finished eating his skewer.

"It must be delicious?"

"Skewers are all the same."

Shi-hyun made a wet blanket comment from behind. I, who received the skewer from the food truck owner, first took a bite. Hmm, it's blandly delicious.

Still, if there's anything slightly different from other skewers, it's that grilled green onions are inserted between the meat?

Usually, they sell skewers with only meat because it's a hassle, but the grilled green onions with sauce were savory and delicious.

"Okay, aah."

I playfully held out the skewer to Shi-hyun.

Shi-hyun, without any embarrassment, immediately brought it to his mouth.

"It's delicious."

While our family was eating skewers, I felt a gaze and heard whispering.

"Are they a celebrity family?"

"Look at how cute the baby is."

Oh... it seems they mistook us for some kind of celebrity family. Our kids properly inherited Shi-hyun's blood, so they have very striking beauty.

Su-bin was also pretty, and Kim Seo-bang was also handsome, not as much as Shi-hyun or Jae-won, but still good-looking.

Since people with looks that wouldn't lose even standing next to a celebrity... no, rather, people with looks that could win were gathered together, it was natural to be mistaken.

"We need to move quickly."

I said it so the kids could hear.

Shi-a quickly grasped the situation and immediately nodded, showing a movement as if protecting Su-bin, and Jae-won, seeing his sister's appearance, immediately joined in.

Shi-hyun also quickly took care of Saet-byeol and Kim Seo-bang and moved. I protected the backs of such family members and moved away from the food truck.

"Wow, it's been a while since something like this happened."

I used to get scouted and mistaken when I was standing on the street....

"Kids, are you okay?"

I was worried about Jae-won and Saet-byeol, who would have experienced excessive attention for the first time.

"I'm okay."

Saet-byeol seemed calm.

"Really?"

"Compared to the gazes I felt when walking around school while pregnant, this is nothing."

I couldn't laugh at Saet-byeol's words... she's calm for that reason.

Shi-hyun, who heard from the side, had a disgusted expression, and Kim Seo-bang smiled ambiguously. Really... she doesn't know shame.

We continued to walk around the road and ate food sold at food trucks or bought toys sold at street stalls for Seo-hui and Ju-hui.

"That Seo-hui is excited."

Is it because it's the first festival she's enjoying?

If you look closely, Saet-byeol and Kim Seo-bang were also smiling, and Shi-a and Su-bin also seemed to be in a good mood.

Of course, the most excited was Seo-hui.

"I can just watch over them."

When the kids were young, it was hard because I had to take care of them one by one, but now there was no need to do that.

"It's comfortable."

I clung to Shi-hyun and linked arms with him.

Shi-hyun quietly supported me.

Today's festival has just begun, but it was already so enjoyable.
