Chapter 534: History of Myths

Genesis Chapter

In the beginning, the world was nothing but void.

An entity awakened within that emptiness and created the world. Its name was Azkinos, the God of Creation.

The Creator God shaped the world’s foundation, creating something from nothing. However, this act exhausted nearly all of Its power.

Thus, It divided Its authority among four Sovereigns, entrusting them with the task of further establishing order in the world.

Akimesh, the Sovereign of Life.

Azfrome, the Sovereign of Elements.

Anotaus, the Sovereign of Power.

Asyusa, the Sovereign of Space and Time.

Under the framework set by the God of Creation, the four Sovereigns each forged deeper order within their respective domains.

Akimesh governed life and death. She created all races and was revered as the Mother of Life.

Azfrome governed the elements. He divided them, forming the foundation of the world’s structure.

Anotaus governed power. They restrained all things yet also distributed strength equally to all.

Asyusa governed Space and Time. They observed the cosmos, recording, correcting, and charting its course.

Among the four Sovereigns, the Sovereign of Life was a goddess, the Sovereign of Elements was a god, the Sovereign of Power could assume any form, and the Sovereign of Space and Time was both male and female.

Through the efforts of the four Sovereigns, the world slowly flourished over countless eons.

Later generations called these four the ‘Sovereign Gods’ and named this era the ‘Age of Origin’.

Myth Chapter

Approximately 100,000 years ago, the Era of Chaos began.

Anotaus, the Sovereign of Power, believed that the authority over Space and Time should also belong to Them. Ignoring the objections of the other two Sovereigns, They waged the first divine war in history against Asyusa, the Sovereign of Space and Time.

Both sides summoned countless races to join their cause, vowing to annihilate the other.

Beasts, Winged-beasts, Insects, Spirits, and countless other major races sided with the Sovereign of Power, their numbers endless.

Dragons, Celestials, Demons, and the Primordial Elves joined the Sovereign of Space and Time, their individual might unmatched.

The Sovereign of Life Akimesh, took with Her the last race she created in the image of the gods, as well as the race she cherished the most—Humans. She chose to flee far from the conflict, seeking another land.

The Sovereign of Elements Azfrome watched coldly from the sidelines before vanishing without a trace, never to appear again.

The war between the two Sovereigns shattered the heavens and the earth, claiming countless lives and even fragmenting the world itself.

In the end, both Sovereigns fell.

When a whale falls, all things thrive.

The war came to an abrupt halt. The surviving races bathed in the radiance of the fallen Sovereigns, each gaining divinity and ascending to godhood.

They began to fight over the scattered divine authority left behind by the Sovereigns.

No one knows how much time passed before the remnants of the Sovereigns were fully consumed, giving rise to a new generation of gods.

The authority over Space and Time was split into three:

God of Time Asmafasa, God of Space Asyulia, and God of Fate Asdestein.

These three became Gods, each governing one Authority.

The Authority of Power, however, was fragmented further. It was not only divided into major domains by the God of War Achlund, Feather God Athiophis, and God of Illusions and Dreams Aelius, but also further divided by gods of different races, such as Wolf God Fenrir, Snake God Jörmungandr, and Fox God Fultis, among others.

Thus the chaotic world found a fleeting order under the rule of the new gods.

Epic Chapter

The Sovereign of Life Akimesh led humanity as they fled the flames of war, searching for a land where they could settle in peace.

Finally, around 30,000 years ago, She discovered an untouched continent, which became the new home of humanity.

But the Sovereign of Life, having long shielded humanity and paved their path, had severely depleted Her strength.

After bestowing Her final blessing upon humanity, Akimesh fell into slumber.

On this new continent, the traces of the gods gradually faded.

Approximately 29,000 years ago, Asyulia reincarnated as a human. Twenty years later, the Golden Kingdom was established, marking the beginning of the Golden Era—Year 1 of the Golden Calendar.

Golden Calendar Year 120: The Senluo Kingdom was founded.

Golden Calendar Year 174: The Blaze Kingdom and the Roze Kingdom were founded.

Golden Calendar Year 193: The Sandbar Kingdom was founded.

Golden Calendar Year 960: The Five Elements Great Barrier enveloping the entire continent was completed. Humanity entered an era of rapid, stable development.

Golden Calendar Year 15,647: The Roze Kingdom and the Blaze Kingdom went to war. The conflict ended six months later.

Golden Calendar Year 15,737: The four kingdoms united to pressure the Golden Kingdom into sharing the right to mint coins, but their alliance collapsed before their demands were met. Conflicts between nations persisted.

Golden Calendar Year 15,910: The gods beyond the continent discovered the Human Continent.

Golden Calendar Year 15,950: The Golden Kingdom began constructing Heroic Spirit Towers.

Golden Calendar Year 16,000: The last Golden Princess, Yulia, was born. At the same time, the Golden Cradle began its formation.

Golden Calendar Year 16,011: The gods launched their invasion of the human continent.

Golden Calendar Year 16,023: The Golden Kingdom fell. The human continent was shattered. The Golden Era ended, and the Dim Star Era began.

Under the oppression of the gods and their blessed races, humanity spent a thousand years hiding under the dim starlight.

Their numbers dwindled drastically, until they reached a critical threshold, triggering the Blessing of Life. They counterattacked against the god-blessed races, forcing the gods to intervene once more.

Thereafter, the gods’ oppression lessened, and starlight returned.

In the first year of the Star Calendar, the Jade Empire was established.

The Verdant Empire, the Crimson Empire, the Abyssal Blue Empire, and the Boundless Desert Empire rose in succession.

Star Calendar Year 215: The Five Elements Barrier was activated.

Star Calendar Year 1,038: Calamity struck again.

Star Calendar Year 7,328: The Beastfolk completed their evolution.

Star Calendar Year 9,513: The elves migrated to the Great Star Realm.

Star Calendar Year 9,564: St. Ferris Academy was founded.

Star Calendar Year 10,079: The Abyssal Blue Empire was destroyed.

Star Calendar Year 11,988: Yulia was born.

Star Calendar Year 11,999: Yulia awakened.

Star Calendar Year 12,000: Yulia reached the World Tree’s summit.

After reading the final line, Yulia closed the book and let out a deep sigh.

She turned to Asdestein, her voice filled with emotion.

“You… you’ve been spying on me all along!”

“Huh… what?” Asdestein blinked in surprise.

She1 could usually predict others’ words and actions with great accuracy. But this time, Her divine authority seemed to have failed.

“That’s the conclusion you reached?”

“Well, I’m just kidding. Don’t mind it. My head’s a mess right now—give me a moment.”

Asdestein had recorded everything in the Language of Gods and Demons. Combined with Her Authority, the words were more than just text, they also carried visions of the past.

Having witnessed the entire grand myth, even Yulia needed time to process it all.

After a while, she looked up again.

“Gods and humans… at their core, they really are the same. Whether it’s the Sovereigns, the gods, or humans, their conflicts always revolve around power and profit. How clichéd.”

“It is indeed clichéd,” Asdesetin agreed. “But it’s a vortex no living being in this world can escape. Not even you or I.”

“I never planned on escaping it.”
