It was a perfect date.
I can confidently say it was a wonderful amusement park date.
As expected of Lily, the restoration of Destiny Land was remarkable, and there were so many attractions that even spending a whole day there wouldn’t be enough to experience them all.
At first, Nel was quite nervous, but as we played, she quickly became absorbed and started to enjoy herself. From that point on, I felt we were both genuinely having fun.
Then, I entered what could be considered the biggest event of the day, the evening segment.
The beautiful White Castle, Destiny Palace, towering in the center of the land, is currently my castle, the Demon King’s Castle. That said, I only use the pitch-black throne room for audiences as the Demon King when necessary.
The command center in the Fifth Layer is more convenient in terms of location and facilities, so I primarily live there.
However, to invite her to spend the night at the official Demon King Palace is better in terms of prestige and atmosphere for the end of the date.
Originally, it is a literal royal suite modeled after a royal bedroom, the highest class room in Destiny Land. It boasts a grandeur befitting a real princess like Nel, making it a pride of mine.
And now, on a canopy bed that looks like it’s drawn from a picture, Nel and I were there.
“I probably shouldn’t say this at this point, but… I want to state it first.”
Really, it isn’t something to be said at such a last moment. But here, now is the end. If I spend the night with her like this, there will be no turning back.
“As the Demon King, I will purge the Crusaders from the Pandora Continent. Until that is accomplished, I will not marry or have children.”
For me, this is the boundary to continue fighting the Crusaders.
As the Demon King, at the absolute pinnacle, I must allocate all my power to executing the great war of Pandora. It is the only countermeasure against the overly powerful Crusaders, and I will force the best and most efficient battles upon Pandora.
The Demon King Chrono at the top must concentrate all power on the great war. That is the position and power I hold.
After all, I am not truly worthy to be the Demon King. I can only play the role. That is my duty and the responsibility I have taken on myself.
However, if I were to have a child… I might waver. Surely, desires and regrets would arise.
The power I gathered just to defeat the Crusaders might be poured into my child, my yet unseen sons and daughters. Not only that, I might even come to value my own life.
That would be a serious act of treachery for someone who has embroiled the entire Pandora Continent in war.
“I love Nel too. But I cannot promise to make you happy. Rather, to walk alongside me, who continues to fight the Crusaders, would be like walking a path of thorns. What lies ahead is only a painful war.”
I will only engage with someone who can endure the Pandora War together as my fiancé.
Lily and Fiona have already made that determination.
However, Nel… she still has the choice to part ways with me and pursue her own happiness.
Now, she could still turn back. Leaving only beautiful memories of the night, she could depart from me.
“Hehe… how foolish of me to say this.”
Nel took my hand, leaning her face closer.
Without hesitation or shame, she looked straight into my eyes with her blue gaze.
“No matter what kind of difficult path it may be, I want to walk it with you. I want to be your support. I will surely be of help to you—so please, let me, Nel Julius Elroad, be by your side, Chrono-kun.”
With a smooth and natural kiss, the choice was made, the resolve was set.
Let’s go together. On this blood-soaked path of battle.
“Nel…”
“Chrono-kun… I love you.”
Words were no longer necessary.
I gently pushed Nel back onto the bed—
“Ahh!?”
With a high-pitched cry, Nel fainted.
“…”
Okay, wait a moment. Let’s calm down.
Think calmly… It was probably predictable that she would faint before anything happened.
I still vividly remember the first time with Fiona. And with Lily, it ended in a similar fashion.
No matter how I see it, having failed twice should make me reflect. This is the third time, after all. Excluding Sariel.
In any case, as I prepared to spend my first night with Nel, I made thorough preparations and ran simulations.
First, I would start gently, as if giving a massage, and take my time assess whether she was ready to accept… I had been practicing this with Lily and Fiona lately, setting up countermeasures.
However,
“Wait… Isn’t this too soon for her to faint?”
I hadn’t done anything sexual yet; honestly, I hadn’t touched Nel at all.
Well, not entirely true; I had touched her, but only with one finger. It started with a gentle massage. I won’t say where I touched.
So, I’m not at fault… I’m not at fault! This time, the ‘Demon King of Love’ has nothing to do with it. I approached this with utmost care and caution to avoid unnecessary stimulation—though I can’t shift all the blame onto Nel.
“What a peaceful face she has while fainting…”
Just as I was about to proceed, Nel, already completely naked, had fallen asleep like a child who exhausted herself from playing, sporting a serene sleeping face. She looked absolutely peaceful.
I couldn’t bring myself to wake her.
Who could wake someone with such a tranquil sleeping face?
I couldn’t just say, “Wake up! We’re continuing!” That kind of cruelty is only permitted in the world of erotic doujinshi.
Thus, the only option left for me was one.
“Good night, Nel.”
Covered by the wonderfully soft and fluffy blanket, I decided to sleep right there with Nel.
And the following morning.
“Ah, morning…?”
As I could hear chirping from somewhere, it seemed Nel finally woke up.
“Good morning, Nel.”
Having woken up earlier, I stared at her innocent sleeping face, contemplating how to follow up from here as I patiently waited.
Now that Nel has woken up, the time has finally come. I felt even more nervous than last night.
“Ah… um, I…”
Her voice was already trembling.
She must have sensed the situation. As expected of a Rank 5 Adventurer, her judgment was quick.
“I… last night—”
“Nel.”
I gently called out to her, like a father reassuring his young daughter.
I wanted to convey, even just a little, that I didn’t feel upset or concerned.
I tried to wear a reassuring smile, like when I preached to pious villagers during my time as a false priest in the frontier village.
“Don’t worry about it. When it’s the first time, everyone has mishaps.”
“…that…”
“Eh?”
“…kill me.”
Her blue eyes wide open. Huge tears began to well up from her round little eyes.
The words that leaked from her agape mouth were,
“Kill me… Kill me! Please, Chrono-kun, kill me!! Kill meeeeeee!!!”
“Whoa, calm down, Nel!?”
Facing Nel’s crazed scream, I nearly got blown off the bed.
I instinctively braced myself, barely preventing myself from rolling off, but a powerful gust pushed against me.
The whirlwind was created by Nel’s large wings flapping wildly. With strong winds billowing, she seemed ready to take flight at any moment.
“I can’t live with such humiliation!!”
“It’s okay, there’s no need to be embarrassed! Pull yourself together, be strong!!”
“I can’t endure this reality! Noooooo!!”
Despite feeling like I might crumble under her piercing scream… I couldn’t back down now; that wouldn’t be manly.
She flapped her wings wildly, thrashing around like she was possessed, but I wasn’t going to retreat.
Only I could save her now.
I was the one responsible for her going haywire like this.
“Nel!”
“Piiiiiiiiiigggggggg!!”
For a while, we wrestled around on the bed (for real), and only then did we manage to regain our calm.
It was an intense battle.
What on earth was I doing this early in the morning? I just wanted to spend a night filled with wonderful memories…
“Chrono-kun… I’m sorry…”
“There’s no need to apologize. I understand your feelings of regret.”
“Ugh, but…”
“It’s okay if it didn’t work out this time. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future.”
“…Then, can we do it again…?”
Nel wrapped her arms around me smoothly.
Such a casual movement. The way her slender arms coiled like a snake was both sexy and sophisticated but without any openings.
“Now?”
“Ah, um… it’s not that I have lewd feelings… I just feel like I can’t back down as a woman…”
It could be interpreted as, “We’re going to do it first thing in the morning,” but I didn’t need to worry about such things.
At least, I wasn’t that dried up. And after last night’s anticipation, I certainly wasn’t going to back down now.
Let’s get the revenge of last night.
“Ah, I understand, Nel. Let’s take it slow until noon.”
“Y-yes… Chrono-kun…”
Thus began the early morning rematch,
“—Ahhh!?”
And it ended shortly after.
“Good morning, Master.”
“Good morning, my lord.”
As I opened the door, two silver-haired heads bowed politely. Their cute cowlicks tempted me to pet them both, but I decided to hold off for now.
“Ah, good morning.”
“What about Princess Nel?”
“Don’t wake her; she’s incredibly tired.”
I directed the customary phrase reserved for moments I’d like her to continue sleeping at Prim, who tilted her head.
“Looks like you didn’t have fun last night.”
“Now that’s something I never expected to hear from you, Sariel…”
Being sarcastically teased as I shared a room with a girl was quite something.
Damn it, did everyone find out about last night’s happenings?
“Please don’t think poorly of Nel. I believe my blessing had some impact on her reaction.”
Otherwise, her sensitive reaction wouldn’t make sense… Even if I didn’t feel it affected me in the slightest, I might as well blame the blessing for it. My rational side was arguing for that stance.
“No, there’s no denying that the Master gained no satisfaction.”
“Such things are not my first experience. It’s not a big deal; don’t worry about it.”
“If you’re dissatisfied, you can use me.”
Due to the painful topic, I tried to walk away from the conversation, but her words stopped me in my tracks.
“What did you say?”
“I served my Master for an entire night, even while thoroughly exhausted and crippled.”
With her crimson eyes fixed on me, Sariel boldly declared without a hint of shame.
What could she possibly be referring to, and when? There’s no way I could forget that nightmare of a night.
“That’s something neither Lily nor Fiona could do. I alone can fulfill all of my Master’s desires.”
“…Please stop, Sariel.”
Because it was the truth, I couldn’t deny it.
I had thought body compatibility was just something out of an erotic manga, but now that I had three fiancées, I might actually need to consider it seriously.
The fairy Lily only has the energy to transform during full moons and once a month afterward. Thus, the one I engage with most frequently is Fiona.
In the time since Lily started going out, the frequency has gradually increased with Fiona, from our dating days onward.
However, she could hardly withstand an entire night.
There was only Sariel who had endured this long while the dawn broke.
“I apologize for being overbearing.”
Though she bowed her head deeply, I sensed there wasn’t the slightest regret in her heart.
“I am a slave. I will dedicate myself at all times.”
“Please don’t go to such lengths. You know that I don’t want that from you.”
“Yes, Master. I was just moved by last night’s tragic state.”
“Please, for the love of the gods, don’t tell Nel anything unnecessary…”
Even without suicidal thoughts, I nearly worried she might indulge in self-harm due to shock from the incident.
I mean, how would she react when she wakes up next time?
“Shall I call Celis or Belkrosen?”
“Please, Sariel, call them both.”
“As you wish.”
Wonderful suggestion, thank you, Sariel. This is the strength of a team, also known as delegating.
It can’t be helped; I feel like I can no longer handle this on my own…
“Master! Shall we have breakfast, take a bath, or—will it be Prim!?”
“…What happens if I choose Prim?”
“W-well… I’ll do my best!!”
With what looked like a strong resolve, Prim clenched her hands tightly and conveyed her determination.
What’s with that? She had been glancing at my exchange with Sariel with a surprised look, perhaps she harbored something inside. Maybe it’s a maid’s competitive spirit.
“You don’t have to try so hard today; we’ll take a bath.”
“Yes, Master.”
“Yes, my lord!”
Prim doesn’t have to try so hard, but I sure do.
It’s back to being the Demon King starting today.
Plus, I still have to manage Nel… no idea how to handle this going forward…
