It felt like all his remaining energy had left with what he had thrown up. ‘Damn it! Damn it all!’ Unable to hold back his rage, Luden slammed his fist against the stone wall. After being branded with the stigma of the Demon’s Seed and Contractor of Evil , his entire life had been a desperate escape from death. And it seemed that today was the end of that road. He had used every bit of strength he had left, and there was no mana remaining in his body. The emergency scrolls he had hidden were long gone.
