Because in such cliché-filled games, my hipster instincts shine the most. I make ridiculous builds that make people go, “Why on earth would you do that?” —like an orc mage who only uses strength, a bard archer wearing full plate armor, or a pacifist vegan barbarian. The thrill when the strength mage smashes down castle walls with a staff, the excitement when an archer blocks a barbarian’s axe and still pulls the bowstring, the emotion when a pacifist barbarian ends a war with just a grand speech… I don’t know how I ended up this way, but I can’t enjoy games unless I mix in crazy, nonsensical builds.
