A hypochondriac. That’s what people who knew me called me. But I didn’t care. They weren’t the ones taking care of my health anyway. Just eating all the pills was enough to make me feel full. I could die from taking so much medicine. Even hearing snide remarks like that didn’t bother me. They only said those things because they’d never been truly sick. Someday, when they start getting sick themselves, they’ll understand— that you have to take care of your health before you get sick. I think of the difference between Western medicine and Eastern medicine like this: Western medicine treats a disease after it's diagnosed and has progressed. Eastern medicine focuses on preventing illness by protecting the body beforehand. Of course, it’s better to protect your body before you get sick. One Ori
