Chapter 1. My Efforts Were Not in Vain (1) I want to be the best. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be the best, at least when it came to the things I liked. In fact, during my school days, I reached the top in every game I touched, FPS, AOS, rhythm, shooting, you name it. Studying? I never liked studying, so I wouldn't know. A desire to improve, to not settle for the present, to do better at what I enjoyed. That was the driving force behind me becoming the best, and my efforts never betrayed me. Not just my friends, even my teachers acknowledged my effort. People would always say about me, 'He’s the kind of guy who succeeds no matter what he does.' Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Because everything changed after that incident ten years ago. Boom! Boom! BOOMBOOMBOOM!
