Prologue. A Lifetime Prologue. A Lifetime 「No talent.」 This was what a great monk said to the boy who had lost his parents and grown up on the streets. When the monk rescued him by defeating two bandits with a wooden sword, he marveled at the boy's talent. That was how the boy chose his path. He thought that whatever he did, it would be better than begging in a rural village. Without hesitation, he sought out the village's military hall, and so he learned the sword. The monk's words were not wrong. The boy truly had a talent for the sword. In the year he joined the military hall, he defeated his master in a duel. The following year, he cut the side of the man considered the strongest in the hall. 「Descend the mountain.」 And so, he believed he would soon reach the pinnacle of the sword. He
