Chapter 1 (An old leather diary) Late at night on a holiday, Kim Seong-ho let out a low groan as he sat buried under a mountain of paperwork. “Ugh…” With a short sigh, he pressed his left hand to his temple and slowly lifted his head. “This damn headache just won’t go away.” As if he were used to it by now, Seong-ho opened his desk drawer and pulled out a bottle of pills. He’d been suffering from these headaches for years, almost like a chronic illness. Lately, they seemed to come more often. He tossed the painkillers into his mouth and looked back down at the papers. But today, the medicine didn’t seem to be working at all. The pain hit him again.
